Last week photographers were told that they wouldn’t be able to capture Beyoncé on her current tour, The Mrs Carter Show. However, unofficial images from members of the audience have been published online.
Beyoncé’s publicist complained to news website Buzzfeed, asking that they remove “unflattering” images taken by photo agencies of the singer’s Superbowl performance in February.
Ahead of the 2013 world tour, a note published on Facebook showed that photographers would not be accredited. Instead, press writing about and reviewing the concerts would have to download approved photos. Just six shots, including one above, were released after Beyoncé’s first London date at the O2 last night.
Bloggers, Instagram users and tweeting fans have not been deterred, though: 6,494 images tagged Mrs Carter Tour have been uploaded to Instagram alone.
Tickets for the Belgrade leg of the Mrs Carter Show had stated that no cameras or recorders were allowed into the venue. But a spokesperson from the O2 Arena said that audience members were allowed to take compact cameras into last night’s gig, in accordance with their standard camera policy.
Here are some images audience members have uploaded from the Mrs Carter Show World tour:
